Sponsored Food and Drink

To celebrate the restart, the crew at Urbane Security is sponsoring a tab for food and drinks. Arrive early before it runs out!

Agenda for September Meeting

Agenda is always subject to change, both in times and content.

17:30 - Start of Meetup, Social Introductions Social

Giving everyone some time to congregate after work, come and assemble with some food and drink while meeting with other dc312ers. If you attended DEF CON and are still working on the badge challenge, there will be some of the more-rare badges available for you to sync with if you prefer over emulating.

18:30 - The Goals and Future of dc312 - Scotch and Bubbles Presentation RECORDED

Initiating the reboot of dc312, former organizer @zfasel and their partner in crime @secbarbie will highlight the past of dc312 and paint a vision for the future of dc312. Our goal is for the group to be focused on learning and doing, not just another security social meetup in Chicago. They'll also highlight the resources dc312 has in order for everyone to keep in touch, both locally and remotely.

19:00 - What topics should we cover? What projects are you working on? Discussion

Opening the floor for discussion on what the future of dc312 should be, we'll discuss what talk topics we should cover in the future, what hands on experiences we can curate, and what projects people are working on that need help.

19:30 - Lock Picking and Definitely Not Sharing of Talk Videos Hands On

Have your go at our pop-up lock picking vilage with a variety of locks and learn how locks work, how to pick, and the legal surrounding lock picks in Chicago, Illinois, and the US. It is highly recommended to bring your own picks.

There also definitely will not be copies of the some unknown summer camp talks from 2018, and most definitely will not be sharing those with others who have 112G worth of free disk space (or 320G for "other 2018 content"). May we recommend not picking up a 500G SSD USB drive (such as the Sandisk Extreme Portable) and not bringing a laptop to transfer them with?
